Evton’s management team has a long-standing record of successful experience in real estate investment management, real estate development and property management.

Bill Evans has a rich history in real estate, having managed multi-million-dollar projects on both sides of the border. Before co-founding Evton Capital Partners in 1995, Bill held senior executive positions at both Bramalea Inc. (1991-1995) and Campeau Corporation (1984-1991), managing transactions worth more than $3 billion. He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from Massachuesetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an Honours Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario.

With his strong family ties to real estate, a career in that field seemed to be a given for Michael Bunston. His grandfather started a real estate firm in 1922, and both he and Michael’s father passed along not only their in-depth business knowledge but also the important lesson that integrity is the key to any business relationship. Michael began his career with Royal LePage Commercial (1983-1985), before moving to the family real estate business, Bunston Private Equity (1985-1995), where he led more than 50 transactions. In 1995, Michael co-founded Evton Capital Partners with Bill Evans. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Western Ontario

D’Arcy McGee has extensive experience in real estate investment, asset management and sourcing capital, in Canada and internationally. Before joining Evton Capital Partners as President in October 2011, he was a Founding Principal of MP Associates of Toronto, a real estate investment and asset management company. Previously, D’Arcy was Vice President, Global Principal Investment of Oxford Properties (2007-2009), where he sourced and directed international investments. He has also held senior positions outside Canada – in San Francisco and Los Angeles with JMA Ventures LLC (2001-2007), a private equity real estate investment and asset management company, and in Santiago, Chile, with Colliers International (1996-1999). He holds a Master of Science degree in real estate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an Honours B.A. from Queen’s University.

Chris Gibson, Director of Business Development

Chris Gibson joined Evton as Director of Business Development in 2010, bringing with him more than 10 years of experience and expertise in the investment industry. Previously, Chris had been National Sales Manager at ONE Financial, a specialized investment product firm with a focus on Canadian commercial real estate. Chris has also held business development positions, including as an Investment Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns, and as Vice President of Sales at Clearview Investments. Chris holds an Honours Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Sarah Sampson joined Evton Capital Partners in July 2008 as a property accountant at the corporate level. Her responsibilities include all of the accounting/reporting functions pertaining to the Fund, senior management, tenants, and investors. Sarah was part of the Loblaw real estate department accounting team for 11 years, and was most recently a property management accountant for Colliers International. Sarah is well versed in many accounting software platforms, including Evton’s operating system based on Yardi Commercial Voyager.

Jeannie joined Evton in September of 2010 as the Office Manager. She brings to the company, in addition to her very positive and energetic attitude, a career that includes significant experience in customer service and property management as a Hotel Manager in the hospitality industry and most recently as the Executive Assistant and Office Manager of a successful venture capital corporation.
